ITINERARY
Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Your driver will meet you at the airport in Kiev and escort you to the hotel.
Highlight: city tour
We start from the boulevard "Taras Shevchenko", walk across Bessarabska Square and the city's main road- the Kreschatik - to the famous Majdan Nezaleschnosti (Independence Square). From here we continue to the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine and see many other sights of Kiev.

1st highlight: excursion to the park "Kievan Rus"
We visit the historical park "Kievan Rus", a center of the culture and history of Ukraine built in the old Russian style. The park shows medieval siege machines and weapons, historical musical instruments, old Russian or Ukrainian clothing, armor and other exhibits from the 5th - 13th century AD. We visit the Museum of Medieval Shipbuilding and get an impression of the architecture of old Kiev.
2nd highlight: walk on the "Andrejewskij Spusk"
In the afternoon we take a walk on the Andrejewskij Spusk, which is also known as the "Kiev Montmartre". It is one of the oldest, originally preserved streets in the city. Amongst, there are buildings with art galleries, exhibitions, art workshops and Ukrainian souvenir shops. It is one of the most interesting places in Kiev. Every year, on the last weekend of May, Ukrainian artists from all over the country meet here and offer homemade pottery, traditional clothing, beautiful paintings, carvings, handmade glass, porcelain and many other artistic objects. The city festival, the "djen Kiewa", is one of the annual highlights of the Ukrainian capital and is absolutely worth seeing.

After breakfast, we drive to the Kiev Cave Monastery, one of the most important Orthodox monasteries in Ukraine. It was founded during the 11th century and is located in a picturesque setting at the Dnieper. To this day, it keeps many holy relics and ancient historical monuments. We learn about many important details about the history of the monastery and see the combination of its architecture, placed into a wonderful landscape.
Then we walk to the most famous, albeit partly controversial symbol of Kiev: the monument "Mother Homeland". At its foot is the "National Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War" containing many exhibits relying to the Second World War.
2nd highlight: excursion to St. Sophia Cathedral
In the afternoon we visit the St. Sophia Cathedral, which was built during the 11th century AD by "Yaroslav the Wise" in the center of Kiev. Today the building is one of the largest museum complexes in Ukraine. From the tower of the cathedral, the entire city opens up in a wonderful panoramic view.
