Our trekking tour begins with a 40-minute panoramic flight along the main Himalayan range and takes us to Lukla, a small town in the middle of the mountains. Stage 6: Renjo La (5,360 m) to Gokyo (4,790 m)
From Renjo La, we climb increasingly steep paths, which give us a fantastic panorama over Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu. These represent the 8,000m peaks of this region and are part of a gigantic sea of peaks. Once we reach the highest point of the pass, we slowly descend again towards the beautiful Gokyo Alm.

After breakfast, the well-known route is a bit downhill. After about 2 hof walking, we can see the first shrines, stone figures and memorial boards bearing the names of the Sherpas and mountaineers who died on Mount Everest. We'll take a few minutes and let the reality sink in – as beautiful as this place is, it's just as dangerous. With the warning to always be alert and careful, we continue walking and enjoy the descent.
