Today we take a cable car to the summit of Vodno Mountain to get the best view of the capital Skopje and the surrounding mountains. Then we go to the historical squares of the city and visit the Mother Teresa's memorial house and the Macedonian square with the great Alexander fountain. We walk over the old stone bridge that brings us to the narrow lively streets of the old bazaar with Ottoman mosques and baths.

• Excursion to the Matka Cañon

In the morning we go to the beautiful Matka - Cañon, in which twenty caves and several side canyons can be found. The specific climate of this region contributes to the life of many endemic plants and animals. Here we can see over 250 different butterfly species! We take a boat along the river to visit Ubava Cave and a Byzantine church a 14th century built on the rocks above the lake with beautiful original icons and inscriptions on the walls. Our lunch we have in a lovely restaurant by the lake.

Today we go to the city of Ohrid with its great historical heritage. It is located on the side of the Ohrid Lake, the oldest lake in Europe that is included in UNESCO World Heritage Sites and has an amazing biodiversity. The beautiful Ohrid city is the motherland of Slavic alphabet and has about 365 churches, important archaeological sites and medieval buildings. Today we visit the most photographed church in the Balkans and the ancient theater (3rd century BC), which today is still used for performances. We see how paper was made on one of the last two remaining (and working!) Gutenberg presses in the world.

After the lunch in one of the lakeside restaurants of Ohrid you can explore the hidden alleys of the old town, buy the world-famous Ohrid pearls or enjoy the serenity of the lake on one of the beaches.

After breakfast we take a boat to the Bay of Bones, an archaeological complex and archaeological site on the coast of Lake Ohrid. Here is an authentic reconstruction of the part of a prehistoric pile dwelling, in which artifacts from the end of the Bronze Age and the beginning of the Iron Age can be seen. Further south - just before the border with Albania is located the St. Naum Abbey, which was built on a cliff above Lake Ohrid. The Cyrillic script was born here that is still used in many Eastern European countries, especially in Russia.
• Boat trip to the fishing village & lunch
In the lagoon of the sources of the Crni Drim river, which flows into Lake Ohrid, we board a boat and continue to a small, romantic fishing village. Here far from mass tourism we can relax on the beautiful beach.

After breakfast we drive to Bitola, the second largest city in Macedonia with a long urban tradition of over 1,600 years. We visit the ancient city of Heraclea Lyncestis that was founded by Philip II of Macedonia, the father of Alexander the Great at the middle of the 4th century BC.. It is known for the mosaics in the basilica, which represent the world view at that time. We explore the city's unique blend of past and present, its traditions and urban life. Historically, Bitola is known for the consular representations of many countries during the Ottoman era, when the city was an important administrative and cultural-political center.
• Drive to Popova Kula & farewell dinner
In the afternoon we continue to the wine region of North Macedonia. After the tour through the cellars of the Popova Kula winery we enjoy a delicious farewell dinner.
