Drive to Shiraoi
1. Highlight: National Ainu Museum
The native people of northern Japan (Hokkaido) are called the Ainu. In their own language, the word Ainu means "man". As we visit this fascinating museum, we will learn about the culture and history of the indigenous people.

Drive to Noboribetsu

2. highlight: "Hell Valley"
The "Hell Valley" or Jigokudani is a spectacular valley north of Noboribetsu. Here we can find a large number of hot springs and geysers that provide the place with warm water. Here we can also find hundreds of macaques or snow monkeys, which are in the hot springs. If we follow the paths through the forest around the valley, we finally come to Oyunuma, a lake with a temperature of 50°C.

Drive to Lake Toya
Highlight: Mount Utsu and cable car
Mount Utsu and Showa-Shinzan Volcano together form a breathtaking landscape which we visit today. If we climb the mountain by cable car, we can enjoy the wonderful view and see as far as Uchiura Bay, Lake Toya and Mount Yotei.

Drive to Hakodate

1. Highlight: Tenshien Monastery
This idyllic monastery is home to the Trappist Union. The building is surrounded by gardens and green spaces and is worth a visit at any time of the year. The snow-white Holy Virgin Mary, which seems to watch over the place like an angel, is particularly pretty.

2. Highlight: Park and Fort Goryokaku
In the center of Goryokaku Park in Hakodate sits the eponymous fortress. Due to its special shape, it is also called the Star Fortress. Here we visit Japan's first Western-style fort and also walk the paths of history.

Highlight: Mount Hakodate and cable car
From the top of the mountain we have a fabulous view of the city below. From here we can also clarify our further daily routine and get an overview of the city.

The rest of the day is free to explore Hakodate on your own. Of course, you will receive tips from your tour guide.

Drive to Matsumae

Highlight: Matsumae Castle
At the time of its creation, Matsumae Castle characterized a safe place in the wilderness of Hokkaido. Today we find thousands of cherry trees on the former castle grounds, which consist of over 250 different species.

1. Highlight: Hakodate market
We start the day early today and spend the morning at Hakodate's market. At the 250 different stalls you will find a large number of souvenirs, seafood and other delicious foods.

2. Highlight: Onuma Park
Declared a "quasi" national park in 1958, Onuma Park includes the scenic Onuma, Konuma and Junsainuma Lakes and Mount Komagatake. With its fantastic wildlife, lush nature and variety of activities, this place quickly inspires.

3. Highlight: glass blowing factory and workshop
The glassblowing factory in Hakodate is one of the most impressive glassworks in Japan. Here we learn about the glassblowing process and can even try our very own creation.

You can organize today according to your own ideas. Your tour guide is of course at your disposal for ideas and organizational assistance.

1. Highlight: Tomita's farm
This stunning spot is Hokkaido's biggest tourist draw. Lavender blooms here in late June to early August, sprawling across the farm's rolling hills. You can also marvel at numerous other flowers.

2. Highlight: The "Blue Pond"
The "blue pond" is considered to be Japan's most well-known pond. Such bright blue water is otherwise only known from the Caribbean! Especially in winter, when the forest around the pond is covered with snow, the lake radiates an almost magical aura.

Drive to Sapporo

1. Highlight: Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park
On more than 400 ha we can experience the unique nature of Hokkaido. There is a huge romantic flower garden, three impressive waterfalls and a fairytale forest. In winter you also have the opportunity to go skiing or tobogganing.

2. Highlight: Maruyama Park
Even if this park is right in the heart of the big city, it is still a place where nature lives. It is over 70 ha in size and is located at the foot of Maruyama Mountain next to Hokkaido Jingu Shrine. In spring, when the cherry blossoms are in all their glory, the park becomes a real magnet for visitors.

Transfer to the Airport
After breakfast, your driver will be waiting in the hotel lobby and will take you to Sapporo airport at the agreed time. Your return flight ends the tour.
