Trip from Karlsruhe to Colmar:

1st highlight: Strasbourg
Strasbourg's highlight is the Grande Île, the old town island. Here we first visit the beautiful Protestant church Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune, which is a great sight with its intense orange facade and green spiers. The next stop is the astronomical clock, which is considered a masterpiece of the Renaissance and was created through the collaboration of artists, mathematicians and technicians. Their melodic chime bells go off every 15 minutes. Finally, we arrive at Gutenbergplatz, where we take a break. Afterwards we can spend the rest of the time strolling around.

2nd highlight: Colmar
Colmar is a cute little town in eastern France. On our walk through its fairytale old town, we admire the old half-timbered houses from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. One of the most beautiful of these is the "Koifhus" - the city's oldest public building. The biggest highlight, however, is the "La Petite Venise" district. This describes the small, colorful fishermen's houses that line the banks of the La Lauch and are adorned with numerous flowers. We will have dinner in the restaurant "La Petite Venise".

Travel from Colmar to Lyon:

Arrival and dinner in Lyon
We spend the second day of our tour with a short walk through the downtown of Lyon and a delicious meal with delicious wine in a traditional French restaurant. We enjoy typical French meals and discuss what will happen over the next few days.

Overnight in Lyon
Driving: 414 km, approx. 4 hours
Highlight: City tour of Lyon - full day
With its beautiful, colorful old town and its romantic location directly on the Seine, Lyon is one of the prettiest cities in France. On our walk on the cobbled streets of the city, we visit the imposing Bartholdi fountain with its four horses, the classic town hall building and the fantastic Vieux Lyon.

Driving: 290 km, approx. 3 hours

Travel from Lyon to Vallont Pont d'Arc:

1st highlight: Chauvet cave
The grotto is a faithful replica of the historical Stone Age cave with its drawings. There are around 500 painted or engraved images of animals that are shown hunting, galloping or fighting. Here our ancestors created a perspective masterpiece thousands of years ago.

2nd highlight: Pont d'Arc Ardeche
This natural stone bridge is beautifully situated on the Ardeche River. It is about 60 m long, 54 m high and thousands of years old. You can still enjoy the water and the great nature near the bridge.

3rd highlight: free time
The rest of the day is up to you. For example, you can walk along the Ardeche and explore the nature park even more. Or you can walk back into town and take part in one of the numerous adventure and canoe tours.

Overnight in Vallont Pont d'Arc

Driving: 204 km, approx. 2.5 hours

Driving from Vallont Pont d'Arc to Montpellier:

1st highlight: Château de Flaugergues
The beautiful castle is a so-called "Folies". These are castles or palaces, in the middle of nature, surrounded by gardens and vineyards. The unique architecture of the complex makes every room and place appear like a new mystery and increases curiosity. The garden extends itself over 4 hectares and contains numerous vines, bamboo plantations, olive trees, an orangery, a classic botanical garden and an impressive flowers.

2nd highlight: beach and leisure
We will accompany you to a fantastic beach near Montpellier. There you will have the rest of the day to relax. You can enjoy the warm waters of the Mediterranean, sunbathe or stroll along the beach promenade.

Driving from Montpellier to Cap de Creus:

Highlight: Cap de Creus hiking tour - full day
The Cap de Creus Natural Park is located on the easternmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula. It covers an area of approximately 13,000 hectares and has a multitude of natural wonders to offer. For example, there are many rock formations, some of them bizarre which influenced the artist Salvador Dalí and his works.

Driving: 250 km, approx. 3 hours

Drive from Cap de Creus to Tossa de Mar:

1st highlight: Lloret de Mar
This city is the first stop on today's tour. From here we take a ship to the next destination and discover several hidden bays on the coast on the way. We can experience the salty sea breezes, crystal clear waters and the amazing underwater world of the Costa Brava from the underwater window of the boat.

2nd highlight: Tossa de Mar old town
Tossa de Mar is a historic fishing village, which is regularly selected by major artists and academics as a summer residence. The narrow streets give the district a medieval flair and arouse curiosity to explore the place further.

3rd highlight: Castillo de Mar
The city's medieval castle attracts with its romantic atmosphere and a fantastic view over the sea and town. Here we end our tour of Tossa de Mar with a delicious fish dish that is prepared according to a local recipe with fresh fish.

Driving from Tossa de Mar to Barcelona:

1st highlight: Park Güell
Barcelona's Park Güell is considered one of the city's main attractions. With your guide, explore the park's unique architecture and uncover the secrets that have been hidden for more than 100 years. The colorful checkerboard pattern of the viewing point is notably stunning.

2nd highlight: Sagrada Famílìa
This impressive church is particularly known for its detailed facade. We learn more about the fascinating history of this place and have a look at the beautiful interior. The great fringed glass windows are especially pretty here.

Overnight in Barcelona

Driving: 89 km, approx. 1.5 hours


Highlight: free time - all day
Today you get time on your own. Take a stroll through the beautiful old town of Barcelona or spend a day on the beach and enjoy the warm water of the Mediterranean. If you have any questions or suggestions, we will of course be happy to assist you at any time.

Additional option: oceanarium
This unique aquarium specializes in the Mediterranean and is as such the largest of its kind. Its highlight is the 80 m long underwater tunnel, from which you can marvel at sharks and other animals up close. You can also see colorful fish and marine life in the numerous smaller aquariums.

Driving from Barcelona to Girona:

Highlight: Montserrat Monastery - full day
Our tour of the monastery takes us through the surroundings of the monastery, where we can see its history and artistic heritage. We will also visit the Montserrat Museum with its incredible collection, consisting of numerous ancient paintings, archaeological findings and relics from the Byzantine Empire. Finally, we end the tour with a tour of the old monastery.

Overnight in Girona

Driving: 129 km, approx. 2 hours

Driving from Girona to Espalion:

1st highlight: Château de Calmont
A guide in medieval costume leads you through the castle and brings you closer to the military architecture and history of it. In Addition, we take part in a demonstration of a catapult and learn more about its role in medieval battles.

2nd highlight: free time
You can use the rest of the day to relax or to take a closer look at the city. It is only about 15 min. from the castle to the city center, where you can stroll around or enjoy your evening meal. Our tip: wait until it gets dark and then visit the Pont Vieux. The lights are very romantic at night.

Overnight in Espalion

Driving: 501 km, approx. 5.5 hours

Driving from Espalion to Geneva:

Highlight: swimming and free time at Lake Geneva - all day
After this long drive, we use the first day in Switzerland to relax. We also visit the beautiful Lake Geneva. This is the largest waterbody in Switzerland and looks like a blue crescent moon framed by the snow-capped peaks of the French and Swiss Alps.

Driving: 492 km, approx. 5.5 hours

1st highlight: Lake Annecy
Lake Annecy is 14.6 km long and 3.4 km wide, making it the second largest lake in France. In Addition, the water is so clean that you can drink from it without any problems. With its light blue water and majestic mountains in the background, this place is definitely worth a visit.

2nd highlight: Palais de l'Ile (Annecy)
This "island palace" housed the Count of Geneva at the time and is an original building from the Middle Ages. It was built on a natural rock island, which is beautifully located in the "Venice of the Alps" (Annecy).

3rd highlight: Free time in Annecy
The beautiful city of Annecy is also known as the "Venice of the Alps" because of its picturesque canals. The romantic old town and the "Pont des Amours" are well worth a visit. This "Lovers' Bridge" offers us a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

4th highlight: Cathédrale Saint-Pierre Genève
The cathedral was first built in 1260 and served as a Protestant church for a long time. It has the highest number of romantic and Gothic chapels in Switzerland and is known for its high tower. Those who dare to climb it will be rewarded with a breathtaking view over the city and the lake. There is also an archaeological dig under the cathedral, where remains from ancient times can be found.

5th highlight: Place du Burg-de-Four
The historic center of the old town is the oldest square in Geneva, Place du Burg-de-Four, and is a meeting place for young and old. Here we can discover lively terraces and cafés with their unique and hospitable atmosphere and eat something. Perfect for a digestive stroll, the Promenade de la Treille with its incredibly long bench is nearby.

You can organize your last day entirely at your own pace. You can discover some of the water attractions of Lake Geneva for yourself or explore Geneva further.

Additional option: Day trip to Chamonix and Mont Blanc
The breathtaking alpine landscapes of Chamonix attract many visitors to the picturesque city every year. From here you have a fantastic view of the "roof of Europe" - Mont Blanc. At 4810 m, it is considered the highest mountain in the Alps and the EU.
