Scotland is the wild north of Great Britain and as such is popular with holidaymakers from all over the world. The harsh weather only recedes for a few months of the year, which we use to explore this beautiful country. We visit some of the more than 1000 palaces and castles, we visit the evergreen Highlands, climb rugged mountains and enjoy the diverse nature in the forests of the regions. During this trip you will get to know all facets of Scotland and maybe even see Nessi looking out of the water.

Arrival and transfer to the mobile homes
Your travel companion will meet you at Edinburgh Airport and pick up your motorhome with you. After the handover, we drive together to your accommodation.

1. Highlight: Edinburgh Castle
Edinburgh Castle is enthroned high on the mighty "Castle Hill". Due to its ideal location, the castle has served as a military stronghold since the Middle Ages and as such has changed hands very often over the centuries. During our time here, we'll learn more about its fascinating history and also marvel at the many treasures this place has to offer.

2. Highlight: Edinburgh Royal Botanic Gardens
This incredible park is one of four royal gardens spread across Scotland. They are home to one of the largest plant collections in the world. The beautiful glass greenhouse with its tropical flora, the colorful rhododendron garden and the rock and hill gardens with an Asian touch are just three highlights of the garden.

Highlight: ax throwing
Today we're trying our hand at the traditional Scottish sport of ax throwing. Under the guidance of a professional ax thrower, we will learn basic and advanced throws. Finally, we can put our new skills to the test in a friendly competition.

Drive to Kelso

Highlight: Floors Castle
Floors Castle is the largest inhabited castle in Scotland and remains a classic piece of Scottish architecture. In addition to the opulent and regal interior, the gardens are also a beautiful place to explore. In addition, you can also explore the castle's own forest and then relax at the terrace café.

Drive to Glasgow

Option: Glasgow whiskey tasting
The Clydeside Distillery is still quite a young distillery, but it still has an exciting history of over 150 years. During our 1 h tour we will learn more about the whiskey making process and then have the opportunity to taste some for ourselves.

Highlight: Culzean Castle
This magical estate of glorious 260 ha consists of over 40 buildings to explore, an impressive landscaped park, beautiful beaches and dreamy forests, and the highlight - Culzean Castle. The opulent fairytale castle sits atop the Ayrshire cliffs, overlooking the raging sea and estate. In addition to the place itself, the farm shop and the kitchen are also worth a visit.

Highlight: Galloway Forest Park
Galloway Forest Park is a huge nature reserve best known for its dark nights. At night, when the weather is perfect, you can watch the starry sky with the beautiful Milky Way. There is also a lot to discover during the day on the numerous hiking trails.

Drive to Perth

Free time in Perth
The "fair city" was the capital of Scotland for over five centuries. Today it is considered a cosmopolitan pearl that inspires every visitor anew. Here you can visit, among other things, the Castle of Scone, one of the numerous museums and galleries or the impressive Kinnoull Hill.

Drive to Highland Wildlife Park

Highlight: Highland Wildlife Park
This amazing park is located in the Highlands of Scotland in the middle of the Cairngorm National Park. Here we can primarily admire European animal species such as reindeer, moose, lynx, wolves and beavers. But there are also graceful snow leopards and polar bears, both of which had cubs in June 2022 and December 2021 respectively.

Drive to Loch Ness

Highlight: Loch Ness
This beautiful lake is full of secrets and owes them to the world-famous monster Nessi. But not only Nessi is a highlight, but also the idyllic nature and great hiking trails, which you will find on the shore of the lake. You can go on boat tours here, explore Urquhart Castle or explore the village of Drumnadrochit.

Drive to Dunrobin

Highlight: Dunrobin Castle
This is the second fairytale castle we get to explore on our journey through Scotland. This dream castle is located directly on the North Sea and, with its many small turrets and bay windows, as well as the huge gardens, is a great backdrop for a visit. Another exciting attraction is the Birds of Prey Flight Show which is held daily in the gardens.
